Breakfast w/ Santa (& photos too!)

On December 4th, 2010 we will be having another fundraiser.
It is a Breakfast with Santa and we will be offering Pancakes, Sausage, and drinks for $5.00. Also available will be Photos with Santa for $5.00 each.
Upon each persons arrival, they will be entered to win a group of 4 tickets to Columbus Zoo or a Car ticket/pass to enter the Safari located in Northern Ohio.
There will also be baked goods being sold as well as ornaments made by some of our very own Northwest Elementary students.

We hope for a great turn out and hope to see many of you there!!

A little late but better late than never...August's Softball Tourney

The slow pitch Softball Tournament went really well. The rain held off until the championship game but that to was able to be determined. Lots of people came out to play and help and it was all greatly appreciated.
Lots of teams came out to play and we had grub being served as well.
It took place in Oak Hill at the girl's softball field and we were able to have two fields going at the same time which allowed us to cut our tourney down to one day instead of two.
It was a good time and all seemed to have lots of fun!

Another fundraiser complete!

Yesterday completed the Zumba fundraiser and boy was it fun! Such a great time had by all and a lovely turn out as well. I just wish our son could see what everyone is doing to bring him to his forever home. However, he will see it all as we are taking pics and keeping memorabilia for him to see and cherish.

Fundraiser--Zumba Party

This is a fundraiser that I am pretty excited to see. Felicia has put together a Zumba Party as a fundraiser for the adoption. The details are as follows:

I also have them available at the store (Just For Paws) and Aunt Sabrina has some for the Lucasville crew and Lisa Elkins has some for additional Jackson folks. Lots of options to get tickets!!

For anyone who is not familiar with Zumba, it is a fitness workout based on dances such as Salsa, Cha Cha, etc. There is sooooo much fun to be had with it and all the while you are burning calories like you would not believe! In one hour you can burn anywhere from 700-1000 calories!! I really like it and I also have lots of friends and family who enjoy it as well.

We would love to have a good turn out and I am looking forward to seeing some great people there. Josh will be there too but he says he's not gonna Zumba, only take pics.lol Regardless, he and I both appreciate all who help put this together, are able to participate and for those of you who may not be able to be there but are at least able to support us during this amazing step in our lives.

Small Fundraiser was on June 4th

Aunt Tabby hosted a Yard Sale at her house with items that some of the family put together to sell, as well as stuff Josh and I had. It went well and every bit of it helps tremendously. Josh and I appreciate all the help that the families have and continue to provide. We now have the cost of the home study covered with money left to put towards the next step after our home study is complete.

A successful first fundraiser

Hello all.
Just wanted to let everyone know that we had a very successful turn out for the Chix Noodle Lunch on May 14th in Scioto County. We raised enough money to begin our home study with extra to put towards our next step once the home study is completed and approved. We would like to say a special thanks to those who helped and/or participated in one way or another...even if you wasn't able to participate directly, the prayers were felt and very apparent.
More benefits are being planned and as they are confirmed we will post and let everyone know.

Chicken Noodle Lunch Benefit

Many friends and family will be working together on Friday, May 14th (with lots of preparation prior) as we host a Chicken Noodle Lunch Benefit as a way to help raise money for our adoption. The meal will consist of Homemade Chicken Noodles, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes, Roll & Dessert. The cost is $6.00 with all proceeds to go towards the cost of the adoption process. We will be working diligently to prepare and deliver these lunches for all who which to take part. We will be doing this in Lucasville and if anyone works in an local office/school/business and think that lunch orders are a possibility, please let us know. We currently have a couple of schools as well as local banks and businesses who wish to order.
For our Jackson, Ohio crew we will be doing a similar thing quite possibly in July for local businesses. As time nears, we will be posting!
